Academics is seeking a motivated, caring, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive two-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets, starting December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that invests in its staff, celebrates individuality, and provides exceptional support for children with diverse needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant will have the chase to take on additional responsibilities within the primary school, if seeking.
Position Details
- Job: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Tower Hamlets
- Start Date: December 2025/January 2026
- Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Salary: 95-105 per day
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
* Deliver effective 1:1 and small-group interventions to help pupils access learning and make progress
* Work alongside class teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists to deliver high-quality, consistent support
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour using nurturing, child-centred approaches
