Learning Support Assistant - Barking and Dagenham
We are recruiting a SEN TA to join a specialist setting in Barking and Dagenham. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in Barking and Dagenham and focuses on delivering high-quality education and training for learners aged 11 to 19 with complex needs.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students aged 11-19 with complex needs
- Support pupils to access the curriculum and engage in education and training activities
- Assist with personalised learning plans, EHCP outcomes, and differentiated tasks
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and positive engagement
- Use visual supports, structured routines, and specialist strategies
- Support students during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider team to ensure consistent support
- Promote independence, confidence, and life skills development
