Whether you have years of SEN experience or you're just starting out, this SEN Teaching Assistant role is perfect for people who genuinely care and want to make a difference.

You'll be working across areas including Edmonton, Southgate, Palmers Green, Enfield Town, Ponders End, Winchmore Hill, and Cockfosters-all with excellent transport links.



The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work flexibly across primary year groups (EYFS to Year 6), supporting pupils with a variety of needs including ASD and Speech & Language difficulties. You'll deliver 1:1 or small group interventions, helping children feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for children with ASD, Speech & Language needs, and other SEND
  • Use visual aids, communication tools, and structured routines to support learning
  • Help pupils develop social skills, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to plan and deliver effective interventions
  • Create a calm, positive environment where children feel safe and valued
  • Monitor progress and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small


What We're Looking For:

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Willingness to work across different year groups and school settings
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience with SEN is a bonus, but not essential-enthusiasm and commitment matter most
