ASD & Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2

Long Term Futures is recruiting a committed, resilient ASD & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a welcoming and inclusive junior school in Haringey.
This role is ideal for someone confident supporting children with Autism and behaviour needs, using a structured, calm and consistent approach to help them stay engaged, regulate their emotions, and develop positive learning behaviours.

You will work across the school providing 1:1 and small-group support, following strategies designed by the SENCO, class teachers and pastoral team. A key responsibility is ensuring pupils remain focused while helping to maintain a positive classroom environment for everyone.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support KS2 pupils with Autism and behavioural needs

  • Promote positive behaviour using clear boundaries and routine

  • Help pupils with emotional regulation and social interaction

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams

  • Support pupils to build confidence, independence and resilience

  • Encourage engagement and reduce behaviours that may disrupt learning
