About the School: SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a large, mainstream primary school in the Southwark area. SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized one to one support to a child with a mild additional needs
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure cohesive support strategies.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all students.
  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
  • Utilize specialized strategies and interventions to support students' learning and development.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with mild needs in either a mainstream/special school setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and interventions.
  • Happy to provide personal care as well as encouraging developments In this area
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field are highly desirable.
