Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated, calm and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD, helping them remain engaged, regulated and confident throughout the school day. This is a long-term position with a strong chance of becoming permanent.

Weekly Pay: 460-500
Start Date: 05 January 2026
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and ADHD in Year 5
Use consistent behaviour strategies and calm de-escalation techniques
Follow EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews
Support emotional regulation, focus and engagement during lessons
Implement SEN interventions and adapt learning tasks where needed
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff
Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour
Who We're Looking For
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs
Confident using structured routines, regulation strategies and behaviour plans
Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach
Understanding of KS2 learning and SEN support strategies
Patient, resilient and consistent when supporting additional needs
