Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - SEN Secondary School
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: 110 - 120 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 3:30pm
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

A welcoming and inclusive SEN secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team for an immediate start.



About the Role:

  • Support students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs including ASD, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD

  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to create a positive learning environment

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils engage with learning both in and out of the classroom

  • Assist with personal care and sensory integration (training can be provided)

  • Promote independence, social skills, and emotional well-being



Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a SEN or complex needs environment (school or care setting)

  • Calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • Team player with strong communication skills

  • Comfortable with personal care and physical intervention (if required)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
