A dedicated and forward-thinking secondary SEN school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced teacher or confident ECT with a passion for working with young people with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).

You will be responsible for leading a small, well-supported class, planning and delivering a highly differentiated and sensory-based curriculum that meets the complex needs of your pupils. The school offers excellent resources, a low pupil-to-adult ratio, and a highly collaborative staff team who are deeply committed to inclusive and person-centred education.

What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching students with PMLD, SLD, or complex needs in a special or mainstream setting

  • Strong understanding of alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)

  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and behaviour support

  • Ability to work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families
