Speech and Language Therapist - Children's Services *525 per day*

Our local Authority client in North London are recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist for their Children's services.

We are ideally looking for locums who want to work for an extended period of up to 18 months but at least 6 months and are able to commit to a normal pattern of working of at least 2 days a week.

Most of the work will be face to face in Tower Hamlets, but there are opportunities for flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running targeted-level groups with parents and children under 5, both in children and family centres and online.
  • Delivering intervention for children under 5 with language difficulties.
  • Writing advice for education, health and care needs assessments.
  • Assessing children under 5 with communication needs.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • NQP (Newly Qualified Practitioner) competencies completed.
  • Experience of working with children under 5 with communication difficulties and their families in the community.
