Job Description
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for:
- Some elements of profit and loss accounts
- Used to running busy restaurants & bars
- Driving revenue through various sales and marketing tools
- Good understanding about fresh food and fine wines
- Making sure a training & developing plan is in focus at all levels
- Has to have volume experience
- Strong knowledge on steps of service
- Experience in a casual dining or Spanish cuisine would be preferred but not essential
- Used to dealing with senior Directors and owners
- Be commercially minded
- Planning, organising and coming up with creative working ideas
- Passionate about customer service
- Strong man management skills
- Be able to think on their feet and come up with conclusive ideas
- Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues
- Be able to deal with costs in line with sales
The Ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in a similar casual dining operation at Assistant Restaurant Manager level within restaurants
- Be able to work with teams of over 15+ staff
- Must have financial understanding
- Good fresh food experience with wine knowledge
- Must have multi faceted experience
- Understanding of Spanish cuisine would be an advantage
- Be able to work in a high demanding environment
- Able to instruct clear instructions to the senior management team and staff members
- Good commercial knowledge of London
- Must be flexible in working hours
- Confident in dealing with owner/Directors
- Used to being in a Senior Restaurant Manager or above background
- Be proactive and being able to think on their feet
- Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record in the casual restaurant scene.
