MIS Expert (Management Information Systems) Required to join a Consultancy on behalf of a Government organisation and this will be on a part time basis for around 10 days per month for 3 months.
Overview of role:
Provide strategic and technical leadership in the design and development of Management Information Systems, with deep expertise in Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) operations to gather data from multiple sources at varying stages of digitisation. This includes building integrated, scalable databases and dashboards, as well as predictive indices and machine learning-based forecasts.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the design of ArcGIS and PowerBI dashboards in collaboration with GIS specialists and Tetra Tech's Data Engineering Unit, engaging with Z Organisation staff and implementing partners across multiple programmes.

Develop predictive indices and machine learning forecasts to support Z Organisation's data-driven decision-making in areas such as humanitarian aid, health, food security, and macroeconomic indicators.

Ensure quality assurance of data visualisations and underlying datasets in coordination with the data engineering team.

Recommend and implement visualisation improvements based on stakeholder feedback and integration of secondary data sources.

Support Z Organisation teams in interpreting MIS data through tailored guidance and presentations, addressing varied levels of data literacy.

Maintain and update the MIS, incorporating new datasets and dashboards, and advise on efficient data sourcing and management.

Contribute to user guides, data dictionaries, and technical documentation.

Support dataset archiving and anonymisation for Z Organisation handover and possible public distribution.

Manage and resolve MIS-related support queries from Z Organisation and programme stakeholders.
