Strategic Projects Delivery Manager

This role is accountable for the successful delivery of key projects, across EMEA within the company’s ECB onboarding programme, working closely with both business and IT teams focused on transformation and regulatory adherence.
The incumbent will have experience of working on large scale programmes, working in a highly regulated financial services organisation.
The Technology Delivery Manager is responsible for all elements of the project management lifecycle related to IT systems, leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of strategic IT projects, ensuring all key time, cost milestones are met
The role requires constant communication with business partners, external parties and intra-group outsourcing partners.
Background required
- The Strategic Technology Delivery Team is responsible for the successful implementation of large-scale multi region impacting projects and programmes.
- The role will be part of a dedicated IT team responsible for delivering key strategic programmes, ensuring that projects are efficiently managed and delivered in line with schedule and cost expectations.
- The incumbent should monitor the project for issues and risks and attempt to resolve, innovating to support the overall project mission and escalating when appropriate.
- Providing accurate and detailed reporting to management, the Technology delivery Manager understands the key business drivers and uses this knowledge to ensure project quality.
Facts / Scale
- Drives specific technology endeavours that relate to the company’s mid-term strategy.
- Works autonomously, steering the project through issues but maintaining an open dialogue with management and escalating as appropriate.
- Supports large-scale, multi region impacting projects and programmes. Usually with an IT Investment budget in excess of $1M.
- Works effectively across regulatory, geographic and cultural boundaries throughout the EMEA region.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead and support various EMEA Division strategic Projects and Programmes such as the ECB onboarding Programme
- Influence, motivate and manage diverse teams across the EMEA organization, including representatives from a wide variety of departments across a range of corporate grades to ensure timely delivery of required results with least possible impact on the company’s business and customers.
- Plan and drive completion of all outcomes and/or deliverables including the business case, regulatory requirements, programme/project roadmap, benefits baseline, budget, testing, deliverables implementation and handover into business as usual.
- Identify and then judge when to escalate risks and issues and their associated mitigation plans to the C-level Sponsors and appropriate committees in order to prevent impact or additional risk.
- Ensure that all deliverables achieve compliance for the organisation, are firmly within current market practise and can withstand formal regulatory scrutiny

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and risk logs.
Education & Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, strong leadership skills, and a passion for quality assurance.
- Experience in working with a complex matrix of business SMEs & IT teams.
- Good Knowledge of the MS-Office suite
- Ability to analyse and describe a 'problem' simply and clearly.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Well organised and structured in work output.
Ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of experience in IT project/program management or technology leadership roles.
- Background in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
- Certifications like PMP, SAFe, CSM, ITIL, or TOGAF (preferred but not always required).
