Comptoir Café & Wine is a one-of-a-kind Marylebone gem a relaxed café by day and an acclaimed wine bar by night. With over 500 bottles on our list, a buzzing wine shop in the basement, and a loyal community of wine lovers, were a home for both everyday drinkers and serious collectors.
We are now looking for a Wine Manager to take the lead.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where youll bring both passion and structure to our wine offering. Youll manage the cellar and list, guide guests through their wine journey, and inspire the team with knowledge and energy. Its a role for someone who loves hospitality as much as they love wine.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service and memorable wine experiences for our guests
- Run tastings, wine events, and private dinners
- Mentor and train the front-of-house team in wine knowledge and service
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and stay ahead of industry trends
- Manage stock, cellar organisation, and cost controls
What Were Looking For
- Solid background in a wine-led role (sommelier, wine buyer, or similar)
- Confidence with a large and diverse wine list
- Strong organisational skills with a guest-first mindset
- Leadership qualities able to inspire and upskill a small FOH team
- WSET Level 3
- Passion, curiosity, and the ability to make wine fun and accessible
