ABPM are supporting a niche and well-established SME manufacturing client to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. As a key member for the senior management team, you will focus on ensuring accurate and timely management reporting and providing information to assist business decisions. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant, an active stuider or is close to completion, who can use their knowledge and experience to add value through detailed analysis.
An insight into your responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded, reported, reviewed, and reconciled.
- Produce rolling cashflow forecasting.
- Provide financial analysis for decision making.
- Production of sales invoices for UK and overseas, including foreign rates and VAT.
- Ensure VAT is accounted for correctly on all transactions.
- Assist to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Continuously seek improvements for accounts and reporting.
- Compliance with regulations and legislations throughout.
- Support the annual audit, with the production of year end accounts and annual stocktake.
Do you have the knowledge and experience?
- AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA / ACMA / CIMA studier or a Chartered Accountant.
- Sector experience within Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction.
- IT literate with advanced Excel skills. ERP/MRP knowledge would be desirable.
- Foreign currency skills would be an advantage but not essential.
