A specialist school in LE12 is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 (interviews/trial days are available ASAP).

The Ofsted rated 'Good' school supports fewer than 70 pupils aged 4-13 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a structured learning environment.

Set in a calm countryside location, the school features high-quality facilities including a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), science and art studios, a music room, sensory room, calm room, outdoor learning area and has on site parking.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH
  • Help manage emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Assist with academic and creative lessons across subjects, including outdoor learning
  • Support implementation of personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet student needs

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional support needs (SEN, SEMH, challenging behaviours) is desirable
  • Experience in education or similar is desirable E.g. residential support worker, youth worker, sports coach, support worker, teaching assistant
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
