Flexographic Plate Maker (nights)

Hours - 10pm to 6am (30-minute break) 4 Nights
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Brief - We are seeking a fully experience people to fill the role of a Plate-makers based on site. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have good organisational skills, be dependable, have good communication skills, be computer literate and be able to use their own initiative. This is a physically demanding job and will require lifting and carrying of plates on a daily basis.
Roles & Responsibilities -
- Responsible for loading plates onto the machine, must be able to operate an exposure, washout, and Drying unit of the plate-making process
- Responsibility for quality and making sure plates are produced to the required customer specifications
- Ensuring quality control checks are performed and logged on the system
- Must be fully skilled in the operation of of equipment and computers as required to be used in the Platemaking process.
- Must be able to read and understand files for customer requirements from the company computer system
- Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines
- quality and attention to detail with all areas of work is required
- The transportation of plates to areas within the site
Experience Needed:
- Preferably from a Flexographic Plate making / plate mounting background
- Experience of using an Esko system
- Will consider someone from the Print industry who is keen to be trained up in this
- Ability to do heavy lifting
