Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Driver on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their Passenger Transport Unit department. You will be working with the general public and transporting up to 16 passengers* at any one given time. To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a similar role previously.
About the role:
- Safely transport passengers to various locations across Luton
- Create a safe, supportive atmosphere for passenger in line with safety guidelines
- Ensure all safety checks are carried out in line with standard procedures
- Check vehicles to ensure they are clean and fuelled appropriately
- Report any incidents within the safety guidelines
About you :
- Proficient communicator in English
- It is essential you hold a clean driving licence with category D1
- CPC card in date
- Experience of driving larger vehicles and understand basic maintenance - basic training will be provided
- Confident with members of the general public
- Be able to lift items such as wheelchairs and buggy equipment
- For insurance purposes drivers must be over the age of 23
This position requires Enhanced DBS check.
