What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you will be supporting primary school children with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with the class teacher and other staff, you'll ensure that each child receives the tailored support they need to thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting children with learning, physical, and emotional needs to help them access the curriculum
Supporting small groups and one-on-one to build confidence and encourage independent learning
Helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every child can succeed
Promoting positive behaviour and social skills
Providing personal care support where necessary, ensuring students feel safe and supported
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate and patient individual who genuinely cares about helping children
Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is preferred but not essential
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child
An understanding of special educational needs and a desire to help students achieve their potential
