What You’ll Be DoingAs Group Purchasing Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated buying team, shape strategy, and build a resilient, cost-effective supply chain. You’ll:
  • Own the entire purchasing lifecycle—from raising POs to supplier negotiation and compliance with SOPs.
  • Drive commercial value by negotiating best-in-class pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure supplier contracts are robust and aligned with our business terms.
  • Support New Product Development by ensuring timely sourcing of raw materials and packaging.
  • Develop and maintain a “just in time” programme with major suppliers to optimise efficiency and stock levels.
  • Support capital projects and ensure our master supplier database is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
?? What We’re Looking ForYou’re not just a buyer—you’re a strategist, negotiator, and relationship builder.Essential:
  • 5+ years in a Purchasing Manager or similar role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to interpret data and spot trends to inform smarter purchasing decisions.
Desirable:
  • Experience using Sage Line 200
  • CIPS Qualification
