Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development through play and structured activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
  • Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery environment and promote children's interests.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and contributing to team meetings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is welcoming for children and families.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
  • A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of early years education.
