Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development through play and structured activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery environment and promote children's interests.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and contributing to team meetings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is welcoming for children and families.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of early years education.
