An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive educational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective physical education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Support the school's ethos and policies, promoting a culture of respect and excellence.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience with extracurricular sports activities, such as coaching school teams or organising sports events.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
