The Role:
We are proud to be working with a forward-thinking special needs school in Maidenhead that is looking to appoint a committed SEN Class Teacher. This inclusive and supportive school caters to pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and moderate to severe learning challenges.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an empathetic, creative educator to make a lasting impact in a nurturing and specialised environment.
Your Role Will Include:
- Designing and delivering tailored lessons that reflect pupils' individual EHCPs
- Creating a safe, stimulating classroom that encourages independence and engagement
- Collaborating closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure a joined-up approach
- Leading classroom-based support staff and contributing to their development
- Managing behaviour positively and effectively
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies based on pupil needs
Who We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience or a strong interest in SEN
- A compassionate and patient educator who understands the importance of differentiated learning
- Someone with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and reflective practitioner with a child-centred approach
- Committed to professional development and safeguarding best practices
