Are you process-driven, exceptionally organised, and thrive on structure and detail?  An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Document Controller to join a highly successful, specialist construction team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in document control within construction, particularly using platforms like Aconex, Asite, or similar project management software – seeking the next step in their career.It offers a key position at the heart of high-profile projects, from luxury residential and heritage restorations to commercial office fit-outs, schools, hospitals and airport/rail developments.  Role OverviewThe successful candidate will manage all document-related processes across 10 live projects, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and collaboration from tender to completion.  Key Responsibilities:Weekly Duties:
  • Maintain DWG registers, ensuring current drawing records are accurate.
  • Update and issue RFI logs and technical submittals, ensuring timely responses and updates to site teams.
  • Maintain the Sample Register, tracking and issuing sample records.
  • Regularly update the O&M folders, with full registers and specification-linked documents.
  • Monitor document response deadlines and alert relevant site personnel.
  • Prepare IRS updates for senior leadership ahead of contract meetings.
Monthly & Project Phase Tasks:
  • Complete monthly reports on site documentation performance.
  • Attend handover and pre-construction meetings to understand project-specific document requirements.
  • Liaise with main contractors for Extranet access and protocols across all documentation types.
Project Completion:
  • Collate final documentation including as-built drawings, door and ironmongery schedules, and all design contributions.
  • Finalise DWG registers, RFI logs, and O&M manuals.
  • Handover to customer care and coordinate final site visit post-practical completion.
About You:
  • 2 or more years experience within document control, within a construction focused environment.
  • Experienced in using Aconex, Asite, 4Projects, or similar project/Extranet platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptionally organised, detail-oriented, and highly process-driven.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, procurement, architects, and client-side document controllers.
  • A motivated team player with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
