Contract Manager

Location: Maidstone, Kent 

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 depending on experience 

Contract Type: Permanent

 

My client are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contract Manager to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of residential and fit out projects. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with excellent client management skills, a thorough understanding of RC Frame, residential builds and fit out as well as the ability to drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, managing performance against agreed KPIs, and ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of all contracted services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Collaborate Site Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and project delivery.

  • Monitor project budgets, manage cost control processes, and ensure financial targets are met.

  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any contractual issues and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, project progress, and financial performance for senior management.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a contract management/contract supervisor role
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and developing site-based teams.
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing contract budgets.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualifications in building services (e.g., HNC/HND/Level 3 or equivalent)).
