Role Overview:We’re currently recruiting for a hands-on and proactive Floor Supervisor to act as the main point of contact on the shop floor. This role plays a vital part in maintaining smooth production across multiple departments, including Cutting, CNC Programming, and Assembly.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced operative with knowledge of fabrication, a good understanding of saw and CNC machinery, and a willingness to lead by example. You’ll be overseeing day-to-day quality control, supporting team members, and helping to identify and resolve production issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the floor-based point of contact between production staff and management- Monitor quality control across all stages of the fabrication process- Support daily operations across Cutting, CNC, and Assembly departments- Ensure safe and efficient use of machinery (double-headed mitre saws, CNC machines, etc.)-Work collaboratively with the team to troubleshoot production issues- Uphold health and safety practices and promote a positive team environment- Communicate any issues or delays clearly to management- Be flexible in supporting where needed across departments- Ensure job packs and associated paperwork are completed correctly
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a production or fabrication environment- Knowledge of operating saws and CNC machinery is essential- Strong awareness of health and safety protocols- Good communication and leadership skills- Ability to read technical drawings is desirable- Forklift licence is highly beneficial- Flexible, problem-solving mindset
