This permanent position is set to begin in September for the new academic year. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality performing arts education to students, fostering both their creative and academic development.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging performing arts lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Direct and produce school performances and encourage student participation in external competitions and festivals.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to promote their artistic growth.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate performing arts into the broader educational program.
- Maintain a positive, creative, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school training, and development sessions.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching performing arts in a secondary school setting.
- Strong background in drama, dance, music, or a related field.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
