Assistant Management Accountant + Study Support
Manchester City Centre
£35,000 - £40,000
We placed the Financial Controller here a year ago, and she's thriving - so much so that she's now making her first hire. That's where you come in.
They've just bought two new businesses (because why not?), and now they need someone who can roll up their sleeves and take ownership of the management accounts for one of them. You'll be right at the heart of things, not stuck in a corner reconciling bank accounts and crying into your calculator.
The FC? She's not your average boss who delegates and demands.
She's all about partnership, proper mentoring, and letting you into the real conversations - board meetings, month-end decisions, the works. Basically, she wants to help you get her job in years to come.
You'll also get to put your stamp on things - they want to jazz up their reporting, and you'll be the go-to person for getting stuck into revenue streams, costings, and all the juicy bits.
What do you need?
If you've moved beyond purely transactional work, can pull together a P&L, and know what a cash flow forecast looks like (and aren't terrified of it), you're off to a flying start. The rest? They'll train you.
The office is top-of-the-range, the company's growing fast, and they've got real development plans in place - not just the "we'll review things in 6 months" line you've heard before.
To be considered, you must be on the pathway for ACCA or CIMA (the business will fully support you with this - exams, study leave, the lot).
I'm setting up interviews now - get your CV over to:
