Senior VAT Compliance Tax Analyst - EMEA RegionLocation: Manchester (5 days onsite)Contract: 6 monthsPay Rate: £291.44 per dayStart Date: ASAPWe're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior VAT Compliance Analyst to join one of the world's most innovative and data-driven businesses. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a global VAT team where no two days are the same. You'll be part of the International Indirect Tax Compliance function, so experience in indirect tax is a definite plus - but what really matters is that you're proactive, analytical, and thrive in a fast-paced, tech-led environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of an industry-leading indirect tax team, supporting VAT compliance across France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. The role is based full-time in Manchester, collaborating with international colleagues across Europe.What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT, Intrastat and ECSL filings for France, Italy, Spain and Sweden
  • Managing VAT registrations and compliance for a variety of EMEA entities
  • Supporting audits, analysing data and reconciling month-end VAT accounts
  • Working closely with tech, finance, and tax teams to drive automation and process improvements
  • Taking ownership of your area, solving problems, and playing a key part in a globally recognised compliance function

About YouWe're looking for someone who's:

  • 5+ years of experience of working in VAT advisory or VAT compliance function having basic VAT knowledge
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a closely related field - a strong academic foundation is key
  • Technically savvy - especially with Excel (PivotTables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP)
  • A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision
  • Calm under pressure and used to working to tight deadlines
  • Collaborative, curious and driven to improve processes

Bonus points if you have:

  • A tax or accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT)
  • Language skills (Italian or French would be especially beneficial)
  • Experience supporting audits and working with financial systems
