As a result of unprecedented growth, they are seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to play a key role in their next phase of growth. Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Transactional finance, including reconciliations, invoice processing, payment approvals.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero and Excel maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data.
- Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions and ensure records are up-to-date.
Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (detailed experience of Xero desirable)
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
