Job Description

SRG are looking for an administrative assistant to join a leading agrochemical manufacturer based in Manchester. This role includes basic support for Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) topics, and provides analytical assistance in areas such as invoice tracking and process monitoring. A basic understanding of logistics and transportation is beneficial for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the contact points for HSES-related tasks in logistics, supporting internal systems and tracking actions.
  • Assist with reporting and follow-up of logistics-related incidents or non-conformities.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Logistics & Order Management team.
  • Support invoice-related processes such as data checks and PO handling in coordination with Accounts Payable.
  • Extract data, maintain dashboards, and support issue resolution using tools such as Excel, SAP, and ARIBA.
  • Contribute to small-scale projects and process improvements within logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as procurement, HSES, and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal processes and assist in audit preparation as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or similar in a commercial/business or technical subject is desired but not strictly necessary
  • Relevant experience in logistics/customer service operations and/or accounts payable experience
  • International experience working with large multinational organisations is a benefit.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, cross-functional business environment.
  • Knowledge of process in logistics is a benefit (e.g. warehousing, transport, order management etc.) but not necessary.
  • Proficiency in SAP SD/MM and MS Office, with particular advanced expertise in Excel.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, balanced approach, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
