Location: Newton Heath, Manchester
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

We are looking for an experienced and organised Administrative Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Newton Heath.

This is a full-time role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. The ideal candidate will have previous school office experience, including using SIMS, handling dinner money, and dealing with parents and visitors in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school's SIMS system, including attendance and pupil records

  • Handle dinner money payments and records

  • Greet and assist parents, visitors, and pupils in person and over the phone

  • Support with general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and emails

  • Assist with school communications and correspondence

  • Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality are maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous admin experience in a school setting

  • Confident using SIMS

  • Experience handling school dinner money systems

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional manner

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
