A friendly and inclusive primary school in the M40 area of Manchester is seeking an experienced and efficient School Administrator to join their busy office team. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school, providing support to staff, parents, and visitors with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Front-of-house duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing general enquiries
Handling pupil records, admissions, and attendance data using SIMS or similar school systems
Supporting senior leadership and teaching staff with administrative tasks
Managing correspondence, post, and school communications
Assisting with the organisation of school events, trips, and parent communications
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times when dealing with visitors and pupils
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working in a school office or administrative setting
Strong IT and organisational skills, with experience using SIMS, Arbor, or other school databases
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
A friendly, welcoming attitude and the ability to multitask under pressure
A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and the ethos of the school
Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to supporting the wider school team
Desirable:
Familiarity with school attendance procedures and safeguarding protocols
First Aid or willingness to undertake training
