About the Role

A friendly and inclusive primary school in the M40 area of Manchester is seeking an experienced and efficient School Administrator to join their busy office team. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school, providing support to staff, parents, and visitors with professionalism and a positive attitude.



Key Responsibilities

  • Front-of-house duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing general enquiries

  • Handling pupil records, admissions, and attendance data using SIMS or similar school systems

  • Supporting senior leadership and teaching staff with administrative tasks

  • Managing correspondence, post, and school communications

  • Assisting with the organisation of school events, trips, and parent communications

  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times when dealing with visitors and pupils



What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a school office or administrative setting

  • Strong IT and organisational skills, with experience using SIMS, Arbor, or other school databases

  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

  • A friendly, welcoming attitude and the ability to multitask under pressure

  • A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and the ethos of the school

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to supporting the wider school team



Desirable:

  • Familiarity with school attendance procedures and safeguarding protocols

  • First Aid or willingness to undertake training
