Job Title: Temporary School Administrative & HR Support Officer
Location: Whitefield, M45
Working Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:00pm (some flexibility for a 3.00pm finish)
- Friday: 8:00am-3:30pm
- 30-minute lunch break
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality administrative and HR support within a busy school environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, supporting staff and leadership, and maintaining accurate records and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
- Deliver general administrative support to the team, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and handling correspondence.
- Professionally manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
- Assist with data entry and the preparation of reports and documentation.
HR & Staffing Support
- Coordinate cover staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained across the school.
- Support HR functions such as maintaining personnel records, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and employment policies.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
System & Data Management
- Use Arbor (school MIS system) to manage data, generate reports, and support communication across departments.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates within the system.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school in an administrative capacity is essential.
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service - candidates without this will not be considered.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Arbor or similar MIS systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
