Field Service Engineer – Food & Beverage Machinery

This well-established international business is renowned for its innovation, customer focus, and investment in employee development. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to add a skilled Field Service Engineer to their UK team.

Location & Travel:

Applicants will Ideally be based in the Greater Manchester Area. However, the flexibility to travel throughout the UK and Ireland - including occasional overnight stays - is essential.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and installation of high-speed packaging and processing machinery at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

  • Servicing and maintaining high-speed production & packaging machinery
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and technical issues
  • Performing mechanical and electrical setups
  • Assisting with machine installations and modifications
  • Troubleshooting and fault-finding (mechanical/electrical)
  • Delivering customer training on equipment use
  • Managing parts stock and maintaining technical documentation
  • Identifying areas for process and performance improvements

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven background in machinery maintenance, repair, and installation
  • Multi-skilled with strong mechanical and electrical capabilities
  • Sound knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • PLC experience is a bonus, but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence is required
