Complete daily quality activities for your assigned value stream.
Use quality tools like APQP, PFMEA, SPC, and control plans to manage and improve product/process quality.
Monitor and analyse production data to identify improvement areas.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using 8D, PPS, DMAIC.
Manage production scrap and supplier quality issues using MRB processes.
Support new product introductions from a quality perspective.
Ensure compliance with standards (e.g., AS9100 Rev D, ISO9001) and support internal/external audits.
Report on quality KPIs and contribute to the annual improvement plan.
Maintain and improve quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and methodologies.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience in a quality engineering role in an AS9100 or ISO9001 manufacturing environment.
Proficient in quality systems and tools: APQP, PPAP, FAIR, ISIR, SPC, control plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings (including GD&T).
Strong communication and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Attributes:
Trained AS9100/ISO9001 auditor
Experience with CMM (coordinate measuring machines)
Familiar with lean tools (5S, SMED, Jidoka, Single Piece Flow)
Competent in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
Other Requirements:
Driving licence and flexibility to travel to customer/supplier sites at short notice.
