Kitchen Manager Cool Branded Fresh Food Eatery
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000-35,000 (DOE) + £4,000 Bonus + Benefits
Full time: 45 Hours (Opening hours: 11am-9pm/10pm)

Our client, a cool and hugely popular branded fresh food eatery, is looking for a highly experienced, hands-on and passionate Kitchen Manager from a branded background for their new fresh food counter service concept opening in Manchester.
We are looking for a hands-on, personable and Kitchen Manager with a strong passion for healthy fresh food and solid proven all-round management experience ideally from a fresh food counter service background. Although the operation will have seating for diners; the service style will be counter service and due to the size of the operation, you will be managing a small team and sometimes be expected to work on your own. The ideal manager will be full of personality, have a real passion for fresh food, healthy eating and will be able a strong advocate as the face of the business - a real all-rounder!
As Kitchen Manager, you will:
- Confidently lead and inspire a team of passionate chef and assistants.
- Support the General Manager in the running of the operation including the recruitment, induction and on boarding of any new Kitchen team members.
- Demonstrate your leadership with a hands-on approach and effective communication, engaging and motivating your team through pre-shift briefs.
- Be fully responsible for menu development and costings.
- Budgeting - stock control, labour costs and food margins, cost of sales, .
- Manage NSF, EHO, Food Safety, allergens and Health and Safety audits to a high standard.
- Deliver to spec and brand standards.
- Drive individual high performance through development and regular one to ones.
- Have an eye for detail and thrive in a high volume fast paced environment.
- Show passion for the brand, visible when ensuring your team are knowledgeable and confident.
The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Strong experience as a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef or Senior/Sous Chef working for a structured branded operator.
- Have solid kitchen management and strong leadership skills as an inspiring leader of all kitchen operation.
- Have strong back of house and compliance skills ensuring standards are kept consistently high, EHO/Food Safety/Health & Safety regulations are met, audited and regularly documented.
- Strong technical skills with experience of using and setting up systems
- Be motivated and highly organised and preferably have previous experience within a similar role.
- Have a passion for hospitality, quality service and an excellent food knowledge.
- Be enthusiastic, have a desire to exceed guest expectations and want to impress and progress.
- Understand the financial and commercial aspects of the business.
- You must have full eligibility to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
- A great communicator - excellent at developing relationships with the front of house team, senior management and others involved
