Tradewind are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a thriving team at a school in the diverse area of Withington. In this Teaching Assistant role, your main responsibility to support a child on a 1:1 basis with additional needs in a year 6 class. You will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the child, as well as their educational progression. This post is required immediately, and you will be required on an ongoing basis for at least the rest of the academic year
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Year 6 child to ensure their safety and behaviour is managed correctly
- Work closely with the schools SENCO to ensure the child's learning goals are met
- Act as a communication link between the teacher, student, and parents, providing regular feedback on progress.

Essential requirements:
To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Have a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Have previous experience supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis
- Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
- Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
