Reeson Education has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and flexible Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the M11 area of Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role is available for an immediate start and is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to progress onto a school contract.
This is a well-resourced, two-form entry school with a supportive leadership team and a strong focus on pupil progress. The school is looking for a reliable Teaching Assistant who can provide a mix of general and SEND support across the KS2 phase.
About the Teaching Assistant Role:* This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6, working alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning and support.* The Teaching Assistant will provide general in-class assistance and may also work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with additional needs.* You'll help to support a range of pupils including those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and other learning challenges.* The Teaching Assistant will be expected to adapt learning tasks, manage classroom routines, and promote a calm and focused environment.* This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:* Be an experienced Teaching Assistant who thrives in KS2 classrooms.* Be confident supporting pupils with SEND, including those with behavioural, emotional, and communication needs.* Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and proactive with a child-centred approach.* Have strong interpersonal skills and a calm, encouraging presence.* Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred, but not essential).* Be able to provide two recent references from school or childcare settings.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:* A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).* Two professional references from the last three years.* Experience supporting children in a Teaching Assistant capacity.* Right to work in the UK.
