The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced, ambitious, and operationally strong Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead the day-to-day operations of the venue. This is not a stepping-stone position were looking for someone who already operates at General Manager level and is ready to take ownership of a dynamic and complex venue. Youll work closely with the GM and senior leadership team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive commercial performance, and lead a large, diverse team across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of the venues operations during shifts, ensuring smooth delivery across all areas bar, events, entertainment, and security.

Team Management: Lead, train, and develop a large team, including duty managers, bar supervisors, and front-of-house staff. Foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Customer Experience: Champion service standards and consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the Impossible brand.

Commercial Performance: Support the GM in achieving sales, profitability, and cost control targets. Use data and reporting tools to make informed decisions.

Event & Club Night Execution: Oversee the seamless execution of club nights, private hire events, and brand activations, ensuring operational excellence.

Compliance & Licensing: Ensure the venue is fully compliant with health & safety, licensing, and legal obligations at all times.

Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, programming, and head office to support strategic initiatives and business growth.

About You

Proven experience as a General Manager or senior AGM in a high-volume, multi-department venue ideally in late-night hospitality, events, or premium nightlife.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Strong knowledge of licensing laws, health & safety, and venue compliance requirements.

Commercially minded with a track record of improving revenue and managing cost controls.

Cool-headed, adaptable, and solutions-focused in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Passion for hospitality, nightlife, and delivering unforgettable experiences.
