About the Head of Finance opportunity:

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working on a unique and exciting opportunity that has arisen for a not-for-profit organisation in Manchester City Centre. This role will report directly to the Chief Executive will be a vital member of the Senior Management Team. The Head of Finance will lead a team of three employees and provide advice and support across the management team and the entire company.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance role will include:

  • Working closely with other members of SMT, the post-holder will develop annual budgets, provide regular reports and reviews, ensuring the ever-changing nature of organisation work is supported by sound fundamentals.
  • You will work with auditors to ensure prompt delivery of clean annual accounts, report directly to finance and main boards of the companies, and work with the SMT on matters around staff recruitment and satisfaction.
  • Oversee, manage and develop three staff members within the team.
  • Responsibility for ensuring correct reconciliation and cashflow management.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that policies reflect the needs of the company, and enable company employees to undertake their duties effectively, while being flexible and approachable in dealing with problems and issues that staff face.

Required skills and experience of the Head of Finance:

  • Experience in dealing with finance and main boards, in presenting financial reports and responding to enquiries.
  • Experience in working as part of a senior management team.
  • Experience in dealing with employment contracts, and new starters.
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive in dealing with issues.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive in dealing with issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
