Prospero Teaching are looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with complex needs in a school in Radcliffe. The school caters for students with a range of needs including PMLD, SLD, and some medical needs.
You will be required to support children on a 1:1 basis and may be required to assist with personal care when necessary. Although experience working with special needs in a school setting is preferred, any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs is what truly matters in this role.
The ideal candidate will need to be resilient, as due to the complex needs of the young people they can exhibit very challenging behaviour. Some young people are non-verbal, and there is a wide spectrum of needs catered for.
Although the role can have its challenges, the school is lovely, the staff are supportive, and the work can be incredibly rewarding.
You must be comfortable with personal care and be happy to get stuck in!

Experience, Training & Qualifications:
Personal or professional experience supporting complex needs
Up-to-date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service OR be willing to apply for a new one
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
