The Crown & Kettle is an independent modern craft beer pub in a Grade II listed building, serving the people of Ancoats & central Manchester since 1734! Reborn as an independent in 2020, its now famed for:

Add to that tap takeovers, pop-ups, DJs, and weekly quizzes, and youve got a pub thats the beating heart & social hub of the neighbourhood.
Were not stopping there in 2024 we opened our sister site, The Rat & Pigeon, a grassroots venue & sports pub already making waves. With more on the horizon, this is the perfect time to join a growing independent group.
What youll be doing;
- Lead a flagship site Full responsibility for one of Manchesters busiest independents.
- Inspire the team Develop and motivate a large crew of bartenders, supervisors, and shift leaders.
- Drive performance Deliver results on turnover, GP, staffing costs and guest satisfaction.
- Innovate & activate From fresh event ideas to killer concepts, youll have the freedom to make your mark.
- Champion the community Keep C&K as Ancoats favourite boozer with an all welcome, always ethos.

- Energetic Leader You thrive in busy environments and rally teams to perform at their best & have the knowhow, confidence and ability to galvanise your team.
- Commercial Operator Confident with budgets, GP and P&L, with a proven record of growing sales.
- Accountability; you trust yourself to facilitate a culture of growth & continuous improvement.

Whats in it for you?
