Salary:Up to £45,000 per annum + performance-based bonus

The RoleWe're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our dynamic venue through its next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sports hospitality environment and knows how to build both teams and communities.
You'll oversee all aspects of venue operations, from day-to-day management to curating distinctive events and activations that drive footfall and revenue. With Super Bowl Sundays, sports screenings, pop-ups with brands like Classic Football Shirts, and partnerships with local baseball, American football, and basketball teams, you'll be at the heart of Manchester's sports scene.
What You'll Do- Full P&L responsibility for a £1m+ turnover venue
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across all departments
- Curate and execute a calendar of events, activations, and partnerships that enhance the Courts Club brand
- Drive commercial performance through innovative F&B concepts and promotional strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with local sports teams, brands, and community partners
- Ensure exceptional standards in customer experience, operations, and compliance
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver strategic objectives
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager in hospitality
- Sports venue or leisure hospitality experience
- Proven track record of curating and executing successful events and activations
- People-focused leadership style with strong team development skills
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience
- Passion for sports, community, and creating memorable experiences
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience with brand partnerships and sponsorship activations
- Knowledge of Manchester's sports and hospitality scene
- Track record of growing venue revenue and profitability
