I'm looking for a General Manager to lead the team at one of Manchester's most stylish, high-end bar/restaurants.

By day, they serve modern, elegant dishes in a refined setting. By night the space transforms into a buzzing late night bar. This role is perfect for someone who can lead with energy, confidence, and have a real presence to become the face of the venue.

Guests should feel like they've walked into your place and they should remember you, ask for you, and come back because of you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences at every level
  • Lead, manage, and develop the front and back-of-house teams
  • Recruit, train, and retain high-performing staff, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Maintain a strong floor presence, supporting service and engaging with guests
  • Manage stock, budgets, labour costs, and P&L to drive profitability
  • Implement and uphold operational standards in service, hygiene, and safety
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, including events and promotions
  • Report directly to ownership/operations team and provide regular updates on performance

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or a strong Assistant General Manager ready to step up
  • Background in premium or high-volume hospitality environments
  • Confident leader with strong people management and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and driving KPIs
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
