Role: Computing Lecturer Location: Greater Manchester Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: £27,000 - £45,000 Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and talented Computing Lecturer for a Further Education College in Greater Manchester. You will have the opportunity to teach across a range of exciting programmes, including Computing, T-Levels, and Access to HE Computing courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and the flexibility to teach a range of computing topics. Experience in additional programming languages and a working knowledge of BTEC frameworks is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Computing, T-Levels, and Access to HE Computing. - Support students in developing industry-standard skills, focusing on practical applications. - Utilise new and emerging technologies to inspire and excite learners. - Contribute to curriculum development and course planning. - Maintain a student-first approach, creating a fun, creative and supportive learning environment. Essential Requirements: - A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed). - A good honours degree in a relevant subject area, or significant experience within the IT industry. - Strong expertise in Python programming. - Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts. - Understanding of Matrix Algebra and its applications. - Ability to deliver creative and engaging sessions that meet a variety of learning styles. Desirable Skills: - Expertise in additional programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript). - Knowledge and experience with BTEC qualification structures and standards.
