You will be playing a key part in an organisation that is looking to coordinate all transport modes to provide a fully integrated transport system for the benefit of all.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of strategic communications and engagement strategy aligned with corporate priorities
  • Manage resources and risks effectively to ensure optimal service delivery
  • Lead and develop a small team, fostering continuous improvement across internal and external channels
  • Contribute to the development of strategic objectives and long-term plans as part of the Senior Management Team
  • Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies for complex organisations
  • Maintain productive working relationships with political leaders, partner bodies, government, private sector providers, public agencies, and statutory authorities
  • Ensure effective public relations and internal communications, and support delivery of policy objectives
  • Oversee the delivery of events and e-communications


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in leading corporate communications functions including public relations, media and press, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in developing communications and engagement strategies
  • Track record in public relations or corporate affairs to support policy objectives
  • Sound understanding of local government political frameworks
  • Ability to build trust with senior leaders inside and outside the organisation
  • Outstanding leadership and managerial experience, with a knack for building successful teams
  • Degree level education or equivalent
