HR Manager – Manchester – £40,000

We are looking for a confident and experienced HR Manager to join our team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for a people-focused HR professional to take ownership of the HR function and play a key role in shaping the employee experience.

Salary: £40,000 per annumLocation: Manchester (hybrid working available)Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
  • Lead on employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures with professionalism and fairness
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure legal compliance across all HR activity
  • Support learning and development plans and coordinate training initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and policies

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards it); Level 7 desirable
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Advisor or Manager level
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Confident managing sensitive situations with discretion and integrity
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using HRIS systems
  • Leadership with HR. Managing a team of HR Administrators and HR Advisors.
