Brief
Account Manager needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Account Manager that takes pride in their work. The successful candidate must be a member of BIFM, appropriate FM or have technical qualifications.
As well as this you must have a good knowledge of building services and legislations.
The successful candidate must have good experience and track record in working in Facilities Management and have a keen interest in becoming an Account Manager.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Account Manager will include:
- Provide a safe and healthy environment and working conditions for all employees in line with the organisations safety standards
- Comply with all the companies policies/procedures to ensure timely and effectively implementation.
- Drive quality, innovation and continuous improvement
- Promote an open and direct management style that encourages progress and development with team members and client stakeholders
- Ensure financial policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented and monitored.
- Ensure the contracts are staffed by fully competent properly trained teams, with all post holders being appropriately skilled and experienced to undertake their roles effectively, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
- Deliver effective communication through competent advice, leadership and direct contribution to client management meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence and monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriate.
- Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites M&E Plant and equipment, building fabric and services
- Minimising Company risk from a technical, financial or health and safety perspective by making appropriate checks in a timely manner.
What experience you need to be the successful Account Manager:
- Previous contract management experience
- Member of BIFM, appropriate FM or Technical qualifications
- Good knowledge of building services and legislation
- Experience managing services in a prestigious corporate environment
- Good experience and track record in working in Facilities Management
- Must have the ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances
- Technical background essential
- H&S Qualification / M&E Qualifications
- Health and Safety aware in all aspects of the business
- Water Systems and Legionella Control - HSG274
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
- Experience of using a CAFM system
- Must have a full clean drivers license.
- A recognized industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
