Mechanical Fitter

We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a globally recognised engineering business based in Stretford, Greater Manchester.

You’ll be working in a clean, organised manufacturing environment with the freedom to work independently while contributing to the build of highly engineered equipment.

• £40,000+ per annum

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

• Building large-scale mechanical machinery from technical drawings
• Installing components such as pumps, gearmotors, pneumatics, and pipework
• Bench fitting and assembly of mechanical parts
• Identifying faults or defects during the build and assisting with resolution

What do you need?

• Previous experience building heavy-duty machinery or working in a machine build environment
• Apprentice trained or time-served in mechanical fitting
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Strong bench fitting skills
