Location: Warrington (covering sites across the North West)
Contract: Ongoing, rolling temporary contract
Pay: Weekly via PAYE Umbrella (Inside IR35)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a temporary basis, working across multiple Environment Agency sites in the North West. You’ll play a key role in servicing and upgrading MEICA systems. This position involves extensive travel across the region, so flexibility and a full UK driving licence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and maintenance of MEICA systems
- Fault finding and repairs on control panels (pump starters, relays, thermistors)
- Calibration of level sensors
- Work on pumps (vertical drive, submersible), impellors, bearings, seals
- VSD setup and troubleshooting
- Cable testing and termination (IR, R1+R, Zs)
- Installation and glanding of various cable types (SWA, LSF, PVC, XLPE, H07RNF)
- Earthing and gland ratings
Desirable Skills:
- Hydraulic systems (pumps, cylinders, valves)
- Signal isolators and ICA interface
- Rotork actuators
- PLC programming
- VSD drive settings
- Generator experience (G59, Deep Sea)
- Pump material selection
